Snow-a-rama

I love the snow!  It’s been a long month feeling less then on my A game.  I never really got into the holiday sprit and frankly there was not a whole lot to get excited about.  I miss my uncle John and was really hoping for a new start, but alas that’s not in the cards yet.  But the snow is helping to white out some of my funk and what makes me giddy?  Frivolous cosmetics and other things I don’t need but want.  And in honor of this winter wonderland I wanted to think of all my favorite chilly products.
I have had a love affair with Hard Candy nail polish since I was 13.  I remember reading in seventeen magazine about what Celebes were hot for there awesome milky shades.  My 90’s girl I wanted to be Drew Barrymore and I have this color in common as an all time favorite, sky.  You can get Hard Candy still at Wal-Mart, but I have to say Zoya has a better polish for milky colors.
Do you know about Lime Crime?  It’s a fun line full of whimsy and fun.  On principal I love everything it stands for, and there a mostly vegan and cruelty free company!  They are not for the faint of heart, but if you’re feeling brave and want to play that’s your girl!  They have a new pallet coming out in Feb. that is going to be a must have.  It’s called China Doll and I love the vibrant matte colors.  It’s a really sophisticated way to wear color I think.
And another fun independent cosmetic company that has awesome matte shadows is Sugar pill.  I am way in love with the burning heart pallet; it’s a sunset eye in a flash.  They go on smooth and I dig when independent companies can make an awesome product and compete with the big boys.
So other then spending allot of time looking at cosmetics I have been getting in touch with the 13 year old Bristol and ordered some Manic Panic hair dye.  I used to there stuff when I was young and more impetuous.  I took a play out of my old play book and dyed my hair pink.  I kind of looking like a real life cartoon character, something’s never change I guess.
Something else to do when it’s snowing buckets?  Knit-a-poluza in the casa de Bristol.  I decided that I wanted to make a sweater and I an super freaked that I can do it but I know my knitting guru will help me on my way.  I got a great pattern book of Jane Austin inspired knits and I can’t wait to be more awesome so I can make a caplet!
So despite feeling like I can’t catch a break and feeling unfit for human companionship I'm optimistic.  I know that I have some amazing people in my life; I hope you know who you are.  And I pray for the end of my litigation nightmare so I can get a G D vacation!
Be Safe
